The Hutchinson
The Hutchinson began between 1999 and 2000. The first songs had a certain affinity with 70's rock, which inevitabily made one think of names such as Black Sabbath and Blue Cheer but with an approach of musical formation from these 4 self-taught members. By 2001 the sound had started to mature. The songs assumed an exclusive instrumental only form and the tune became dedicated to long sessions in which prevailed stratification and intricate digressions. Woven rythyms in which the guitar and drums followed between syncopations and irregular prosodies which was then added to with the electronic ambient of the synth's pad. "Playing in woman's bathroom" come out and the press talked of "math-rock post Krauto", of "psychedelic" and of "agonistic trance". In 2003 a change to the line up brought a new formation and a real revolution. The sonorities began to take on a certain fascination towards 70's funk but maintaining a noise approch, from here with the invaluable help of Fabio Magistrali they have recorded and brought out "sitespecific for orange squirrel
The Hutchinson nascono a cavallo fra il 1999 e il 2000. Le prime composizioni degli Hutchinson hanno una certa affinità con certo rock '70, che porta inevitabilmente a pensare a nomi come Black Sabbath e Blue Cheer ma con un approccio del tutto personale dovuto alla formazione musicale autodidatta dei quattro. Verso il 2001 il sound comincia a mutare. Le composizioni assumono una forma esclusivamente strumentale dando spazio a lunghe sessioni in cui prevalgono stratificazioni e intricate digressioni. Intrecci ritmici in cui chitarre e batteria si rincorrono fra sincopi ed irregolarità metriche a cui si aggiungono escursioni elettroniche e tappeti ambientali dei synth. Esce "Playing in woman's bathroom". La stampa specializzata parla di "math-rock post Krauto", di "psichedelia", di "trance agonistica". Nell 2003 qualche cambio di line up porterà alla formazione una vera e propria rivoluzione. Le sonorità cominciano a tendere sempre più sfacciatamente verso il funk '70 pur mantenendo un approccio noise., da questo percorso e con il prezioso aiuto di Fabio Magistrali alla regia esce "Sitespecific for orange squirrel"
