About us

Independent underground music label

Wiki

Wallace Records was founded on April 26, 1999, in Trezzano Rosa, near Milan, with the aim of documenting the music and underground scene of that time and place.

The moment has always been tied to time, and the place has evolved over time to include the Italian scene and some international contacts.

I started it, but I like to think that the artists are equally part of the label’s history, just as I am part of theirs, some more, some less.

Since then, we have also done good things, and much has changed, more in the world than in the label, which today still finds itself a bit outside the world.

Do you want us to listen to your music

Since 1999, I have listened to all the demos and records sent to me, and until a few years ago, I would give my feedback to everyone.

Now I still listen to everything but can’t always respond, but if I like something, I will write to you, even just to express my appreciation.

So feel free to send, but don’t expect a response.

A tip: if you don’t know Wallace Records, listen to some of our artists first.

No social media policy

We have always been critical of entertainment multinationals and their market policies and economics, to the detriment of artists and listeners - we won't make it long

We used to call them majors, then they seemed to go into crisis and then disappear, but that's not the case: they have changed names and tools but still do their job.

For some time we used the social networks of the moment, both personally and for the label, in a very clumsy way and not very profitable in terms of audience.

We are now considering a gradual withdrawal from social media and streaming, until we find alternatives in line with the carbonaro spirit that animates us.

Some bands, personally, will keep their records on the platforms.
